The Isle of Wight Community Club is fundraising to create an Inclusive Community Play Park in Cowes – a welcoming, accessible space where children of all abilities can play, learn, and grow together.
This park is designed to bring families together and ensure that no child feels excluded from the joy of outdoor play. Inclusive equipment and thoughtful design will allow children with a wide range of needs and abilities to play side by side, building confidence, friendships, and a stronger sense of community.
We recently applied for a National Lottery grant. Although our first application was unsuccessful, the incredible support we’ve already received through smaller grants and generous local donations has strengthened our project significantly. With continued community backing, we are confident that our next application will be successful.
Thanks to the amazing generosity of our supporters, we have already raised £7,625.41 through:
Every donation and sponsorship makes a real difference. Not only does it bring us closer to our fundraising goal, but it also demonstrates strong local support – a vital part of securing larger funding.
Please see the link below to visit our GoFundMe page and support the project.
We are inviting local businesses to support this project through donations or sponsorship. As a thank you, all supporting businesses will be proudly featured on a recognition board attached to the fencing surrounding the park, celebrating everyone who helped make this inclusive space a reality.
Please take a look at the 3D plans shown below for a preview of what we’re working towards. We are incredibly excited about the positive impact this play park will have on children, families, and the wider community.
If you would like to support the project, get involved, or find out more, we would love to hear from you.
Together, we can create something truly special for the children of Cowes and the surrounding areas.
