
Club History
Northwood St Johns football club started out in the early 1900's as Northwood Football Club - with the club disbanding during the war years, before being reformed in 1952 by a local man called Harry Cheek.
The clubs first pitch was at St John's Church in Northwood, where the club allowed to use the field adjacent to the Church.

Northwood St Johns football club started out in the early 1900's as Northwood Football Club - with the club disbanding during the war years, before being reformed in 1952 by a local man called Harry Cheek.
The clubs first pitch was at St John's Church in Northwood, where the club allowed to use the field adjacent to the Church. As a result of this the club decided to change its name to Northwood St Johns and it has remained the same ever since.
The club later move to a couple of more sites to play their home matches, BAE's site and Somerton Industrial Estate, then moved in the mid/late 1960's to Park Road Recreation Ground, before finally moving to the Isle of Wight Community Club where the home matches are played to this day.

Northwood St Johns is a Football club that has had a varying level of success over the years and has always been run by supported by dedicated and loyal people throughout this time.This started with Harry Cheek, and continues to this day with Leigh Mackenzie (Chairman) and many others.

We have 2 teams, Northwood First Team and Northwood Reserves.
We train once a week at Cowes Enterprise College's indoor facility, 7pm - 8pm on a Tuesday.
